Well after struggling a lot with podcast link,I have gone through it ,listen few very oldie broadcast etc........ also gone to podcast Alley and podacst net produced wide range of topics. I think yahoo is good and its easy to use.Open and account with bloglines .

This discovery exercise was fun,after several attempts I finally posted my blog I think correctly.what a great way to keep up with your favorites there such as ,vacation spot, restaurants movies,books and music. there is so much to exlpore.have added my blog page ,also my favorite books and favorite holiday location.

Learning web 2.0 was fun,it was a good and bad experience.At first I was lost doing it,I though Iam not going to finish,my collegues keeping on saying hows your blog page etc....... So here iam finished,But without them I coun't have done it. at least but not last Iamm fintooooooo I enjoyed flickr,youtube, facebooks etc, I'm going to do it again if ACL is going to offer another programme like this.To I think library staff need to be on forefront of technology.Iam going to help my daughter to make her bolg page know.it will be cool.

Podcasts are not my favotite things in the world, I would much rather read something than listen to it, and pretend that you are there while you arereading it.I understand with interviews it can be better because you can hear the tension I did like the organization if podcast.com It was easy to move through and find things that were appicable to us

I went through podcast.net to see what podcast I could find about books,there were so many it was hard to over look them all,anyway,zoho writer ,ebooks ects .Iam podcast will continue to be a growing movement for all kinds of topics and interests ,it offers an exceedingly wide choice for anyone to listen and to learn .

You Tube

Well Have seen students going on youtube in the library,not for the first time, but I have also searched for myself too,It was fun to take my own time and see how many defferent types of videos there are for just one song. There were few funny jokes as I searched for,sadly it was not as funny .I have used google Video before just messing around. Iam not sure that the searching capabilities are tat of youtube, but there were some really funny ones which made a laughingfloria

Well I think the idea is good.Granted, professionally Iam not sure it will come in handy. For fun, it is right, The book section is what I felt could tie in the most to us.Viewing wiki and contributing to wikis are two very different things.

WEEK 7

I love Wikis. Wikispedia has been one of my jumpings off points for most questions for a while. People from all over can come together and create awesome definitions and links to other information. there is the downside t o wikis with how open you are to everyone adding information,and some regulation needs to be in palce
The wikis wouldn't need to be just about "librayish" stuff.The library is a center for the community now.Including topics like local politics,school changes,market shifts and weather could all become a part of the libray wwiki.We have mission to get infromation our patrons need to them.wikis could do that in an easy and straight forward way


Sandbox wiki

Wikis are funny thngs It can be very lively,My expereince with learning 2.0 wiki sandbox was a positive one. It was relatively easy and dare I say have fun,the most cool thing is that anyone can edit it,and it also sad about wiki.
I would love to learn how to set a wiki up for myself.

Web 2.0 awards

I started looking through the Web 2.0 award winners when I came across Google's new Open Source Word Processor, Writely.com. I tried it out and it's worlds ahead of Zoho Writer. I blogged my document no problem. See below:See? Now THIS is what I'm talking about. Google...is my hero. I don't care if they become evil, corporate monsters. I read through most of the articles on library 2.0 and the main idea I got from several of them is that library system as a whole need to inbtegrate themselves more fully into our technology driven world and take advantage of all the tools that are avaiable to share information,not only regionally but globally.I agree that libraries need to be accessable and as techno-freindly as especially when you see elementary school chirldren that are pros at surfing the internet and toddlers who are learning to sue key boards and mouse to play computer games.

technorati is useful. It provides a great way to search the web for bolgs focused on a specific subject of interest.I've been enjoying its 'popular" section,especially the vidoes

Includings the "technorati tags" on the button of the blog posts seems a bit cumbersome to me.I don't think I'll be doing that.But,should I channge my mind,I know where to find the info about it now

Usinh popular tags (or creating your own) is the same thing as having your very own personalized catalog of favorite web sites.
I've added the de.icio.us and tag buttons to my computers browser, so now its as easy as clicking on a button to add new web site to my "catolog"

Well gone through RSS , At first I didny knew what Rss is until I browse through it.all this we were using RSS But never knew it Yes If you are using yahooOr Google than it means you are useing RSS feeds are pretty cool because they allow you to quick easy way to chek out news,etc I think they would definitely come in handy for the system on our websites> they are definitely a good thing

A useful news feed I found that I like was"feeste I search by one of fovorite I searched by all catogories,blog, news and podcasts,I did'nt find anything that was useful to me I actually gone through everything for that was useful,(Topis.net)catagoriesISyndics 8) etc. To get an overview first very helpful most. hah top searches an popular which I found really good.
